Kids from six to sixty had fun while they learned about solar power, renewable energy, and Sustainability at the educational, yet fun, Solar Power Road Show tent at the Abbotsford Berry Festival and Nature Matters Festival in greater Vancouver, BC, Canada. There was special "sticky magic bubbles" that allowed kids to attach bubbles from the solar-powered bubble machines to their hands, arms, and faces. This soapy stuff makes you so clean, you won't have to take your Saturday bath! People also check out the stress levels on the solar-charged Stress Analyzer. People thanked us for lowering their stress level -- isn't that what you want to get out of a weekend festival, anyway? And there was the electrocuting Lie Detector. More than one festival volunteer was shocked (no pun intended) that it really worked.

With global climate change threatening our people and planet, a little education disguised as entertainment helps the community in a positive way. Some call it edu-tainment, that is, education and entertainment working together. Fun as it may seem, most of the unique renewable-energy-powered devices assembled by the crew at Solar Power Road Show are based on solar, wind, or sustainability-science.
