There was special "sticky magic bubbles" that allowed kids to attach bubbles from the solar-powered bubble machines to their hands, arms, and faces. This soapy stuff makes you so clean, you won't have to take your Saturday bath! People also check out the stress levels on the solar-charged Stress Analyzer. People thanked us for lowering their stress level -- isn't that what you want to get out of a weekend festival, anyway? And there was the electrocuting Lie Detector. More than one festival volunteer was shocked (no pun intended) that it really worked.

Click below to see more photos and stories about other sustainable education fun festivals in greater Vancouver:
In West Vancouver - Coho Salmon Festival
At the Greater Vancouver Zoo
In Vancouver's South Hill Festival organized by the City of Vancouver
At Science World, Telus World of Science
At the Davie Street BIA festival
In Port Coquitlam's BIA Harvest Festival
In Maple Ridge
At the Marpole BIA Street Festival

Outside greater Vancouver:
At 100 Mile House's Street Festival
In Lytton, BC

Contact the Solar Power Road Show at ( 6 0 4 ) 7 3 9 - 7 7 1 7 for Sustainable Energy workshops for after-school programs, solar science energy workshops at museums, edu-fun magic shows for your community centre, mall and shopping centre, and public events like Canada Day.

People attending this festival became part of an open-air sustainable energy educational-entertainment treat. With global climate change threatening our people and planet, a little education disguised as entertainment helps the community in a positive way. Some call it edu-tainment, that is, education and entertainment working together. Fun as it may seem, most of the unique renewable-energy-powered devices assembled by the crew at Solar Power Road Show are based on solar, wind, or sustainability-science.

Search Keywords Index: Birthday parties, birthday party, festival entertainment, festival entertainer, festival entertainers, school program, school programs, in-school programs, supplemental education, homeschool, bright children, gifted children workshops, Vancouver Museum, Association of Bright Children of BC, Vancouver childrens' entertainer, Vancouver BC children entertainer, educational entertainment, renewable energy program, solar power advocates, solar power FAQ, solar power road show, photovoltain panels, wind energy, BC entertainers, kid, kids, parents, families family entertainment, community festival, community events, park & recreation, parks & rec, environment, ecology, environmental education events.
